The City Government of Victorias, in support to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda held a benefit show dubbed as “Talento Ko, Halad Sa Inyo” at the Victorias City Public Plaza last Dec. 20.
The activity showcased local talents from the academe to government and non-government workers and different sectors in Victorias City performed gratis et amore for a noble cause.
Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and Vice Mayor Jerry Jover, who were both present during the fundraising event, thanked everyone who organized, participated and unselfishly shared their talents and blessings to help the typhoon victims, making their Christmas season more meaningful.
Donations in cash and kind were collected during the concert until the entire performances end and cash donations from business sectors and various organizations were given deductible tax credit privileges.
Despite the pour of heavy rains in the middle of the performances, Victoriahanons flocked back as the program resumed as they never failed to show their love and shared what they have for the victims.
Incidentally, 3rd District Representative Alfredo Benitez was also celebrating his birthday on the same day and as his share brought in talents from Manila who performed during the event.
The Voice of the Philippines finalist Darryl Shy, Ms. Intercontinental 2013 3rd Runner-up Koreen Medina and a comedian, Mojack made the affair even more worthwhile.
