Erica is a very pretty girl. And I live 8000 miles away and have never been to your city. So this is just my unbiased opinion.

In my unbiased observation candidate No. 3 Ms. Osano is cute and beautiful. Looking at the newly uploaded photo of her, one can see that Ms. Osano epitomizes the real Filipina bauty. I hope she will be the Kadalag-an Queen 2009.

To me, Ms. Ma.Concepcion Osano is "it". She deserves to win. Period.

John in Denver is correct. Erica is very pretty girl. But so is Stephanie, Arianne, and Maria Concepcion, in any order.

The blog author should win the contest. She represents the city more vibrantly and tirelessly than any pageant contestant!!!!! I will get in trouble for this comment! :)

well, what can i say? beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but since this is a pageant, there exists a criteria for the judges to base their selection. beauty of face, figure, appeal, height, the x-factor, and so on.may the best candidate win..i hope the winner should really be deserving to represent the city of victorias. good luck, ladies!

jhedriche jayce is right. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. that is why, to me, maria concepcion osano is beautiful, and she deserves to win this pageant.

I understand people who make comments have really their own personal preference as to the candidates. That is understandble and should be respected. To each his own, as the saying goes. As for me, my vote goes Candidate No. 3, Maria Concepcion Osano.

Mary Car looks like she stepped out of an old time Hollywood movie. She has a classic beauty and incredible smile!

Whoever wins Victorias can't lose. Let's support all these fine young women. They each have the poise, strength and courage to put themselves out there, to be judged and to face defeat. Most of us can not make the same claim. They represent the future of this city. We should all be very proud.

Ms. Maria Concepcion Osano is my former classmate at SMMS-Vicmico. She is brilliant and beautiful. I hope she makes it in this pageant.

If she is a contestant, Ms. Malihaw is my one and only candidate. Bravooo! to Ms. Malihaw for creating and maintaining this relevant blog, which provides information and updates to Victoriahanons and to the rest of the community, bridging the information gap from Victorias to the rest of the world.

... "David Trinidad speaks":....

---> all of them are Audacious in beauty sense...'bold and daring'..

---> not only beauty they should wear in the event, likewise, all of the qualities that a reigning Kadalag-an Queen sholud possess..

---> i firmly believed that by the Year 2010, the next Pana-ad Queen will come from our own city (VICTORIAS) and i am superficially disagree that our next representative in "The Mother of All Festivals" can't bring home the bacon..

---> As for now i have my own bets who will win the heart of the crowd:

** Candidate No. 1 " Stephanie "
** Candidate No. 5 " Erika "
** Candidate No. 7 " Abigail "
** Candidate No. 8 " Aimee "
** Candidate No. ????????????

Let the Judges weigh who deserves the last spot for the next KQ 2009.

Good Luck Ladies... Be Confident. Be A Good Model to the Youth and Break a Leg!

I saw this morning the 11 Kadalag-an candidates at Sunshine Channel, Channel 14 at SkyCable. I have observed that all the candidates were very articulate, when interviewed by TV host Elsie Jolingan. I particularly like the way some candiates expressed themselves, like Candidate No. 11 (Mary Hope Lima, Krizza La Pinas (forget her number) and candidate No. 3 Maria Concepcion Osano. My favorite is Maria Concepcion Osano, so demure, so simple, yet also articulate.

I laugh when I read many of these "unbiased" comments. Its clear that the comments are the words of family and friends supporting their individual candidate. This is fine in a sense yet I urge the community to support each of these girls. Many of the candidates are as young as 15. We need to encourage these young people to strive to make a difference for this city, for our nation and for this fragile planet we all share. They are inheriting a world that has been ravaged by war, pollution and greed. Its great to have a pretty face and a nice body. But let them know that what is in between their ears and inside their hearts is what is going to make a difference for them and for future generations.

I real the sensible comment of Captain S. He is right. We have to urge the community to support each of these candidates, 11 of them. Many of the candidates are as young as 15. So, let us support all of this girls, especially Maria Concepcion Osano, who has beauty and brains.

I want to comment regarding the percentage in voting the candidates. In every day browse nakikita ko na umiiba ang percentage sa bawat candidates... parang may mali ata... hindi ito maganda na basihan para sa mga candidates... parang niloloko niyo lang ang candidates.
