Victorias City Gives Housing Materials Worth P7.5 M To Yolanda Typhoon Victims


Victorias City under the administration of Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca distributed housing materials to the families affected by the super typhoon Yolanda from the grant worth P7,490,880 from Vice President Jejomar Binay through the efforts of Cong. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez.
Based on the Damage Assessment Report, there were 651 totally and 5,300 partially damaged houses in the City caused by the super typhoon.
A total of 5,951 identified project beneficiaries of Housing Materials Assistance (HOMA) were by the City Social Welfare and Development Office and were approved by the City.
 This is City’s HOMA Project under the National Housing Authority (NHA) Materials Assistance Program in coordination with the City Housing Office.
The families from the different barangays of the City received housing materials such as GI sheets, plywood and nails, etc.
