City Sports & Amusement Center

Victorias is a progressive city of Northern Negros and this year, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Severo A. Palanca, another major achievement opens its doors to serve the public -- The City Sports and Amusement Center, one of the sweet city’s numerous edifices that celebrates the progress and growth of the once sleepy municipality.

The Sports and Amusement Center is among the biggest of its kind in Negros. It is fully air-conditioned with a seating capacity of 8,000, 180-slot parking area, four locker/dressing rooms, a wide reception area in 2 levels that will be rented out to rolling stores and other entrepreneurs, two power generating sets, six comfort rooms, a huge stage for cultural and other presentations and at the basement, a 12 lane bowling center that offers a choice of duckpins or ten-pin bowling. Plans are underway for a gallery/museum at the lobby, food court and fitness gym.

Right across the Coliseum is the Swimming Pool which opened on the Feast Day of St. John the Baptist last June 24, 2008. Open from 7am to 5pm daily, there are two bathing pools, one for adults and one for children. Strict bathing regulations are enforced to ensure the safety of all clients. Swimmer’s rates are pegged at P50 per person regardless of age and an entrance fee of P10 is charged at the gate. Construction is underway for an Olympic size pool which is envisioned to be completed in time for Division & Area Meets.
