In the initial report of Fire City Inspector and Fire Arson Investigator FO3 Nathaniel Amores, the fire incident was caused by an electrical short circuit which left six houses totally damaged, two other partially damaged and three injuries yet luckily without any fatalities.
Along with General Services Officer Armen Tabligan and Brgy. Capt. Hermigilda Dela Cruz, the Palanca and Clavel family who came from New Jersey, U.S.A. and were here for a vacation, visited the area where the fire incident took place and witnessed the affected families’ situation.
They gave the fire victims clothes and cookies and ice cream for their snacks during the visit.
Those who received the support were the families of Lamberto Delgado, Leobert Delgado, Roselyn Alegre, Johnny Dumagat, Sonia Tobongbanua, Laylyn Sandrino, Rolando Belleza and John Rey Baguio.
The residents were very thankful for the goods which were shared to them and some were emotional as they received the help from the guests.
Temporary house tents were made to provide shelter for the fire victims and they are now dependent on the support of the government and other groups to help them recover from their loss as some of the children are still going to school.
