City Launches Citizen's Charter Handbook

The Victorias City Citizen’s Charter was officialy launched October 30 at the Victorias City Sports and Amusement Center which coincided with the culmination of Civil Service Month.

The Affair was attended by the Provincial officials headed by DILG officials and Civil Service Commission (CSC) Provincial Directors Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag and Fernando Mendoza respectively, Vice Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Department Heads, City Development Council composed of Non-Government Organizations' and People's Organization, Barangay Captains and City Employees.


The Victorias City Citizen's Charter was formulated and finalized in compliance with the provision of R.A. 9485 known as Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 which aims to inmprove the delivery of government service to the public by minimizing if not totally eradicating bureaucratic red tape Evangeline Alo, City Planning Development officer together with J Dignadice, local government Operation Officer IV headed task force on the formulation of the Citizens Charter. Hon. Severo A. Palanca, City Mayor signed Executive Order No. 25-A, series of 2009, ordering the promulgation of the Citizen's Charter and mandating its pilot implementation.

As such, the launching of the Citizen Charter is vital to highlight its key accomplishment. Its main objectives are: to create awareness for key stakeholders regarding the existence of the Victorias City Citizen's Charter through a launching activity; to enhance the commitment of frontline agencies to deliver the service standards set in the Citizen's Charter; tyo reproduce the Victorias City Citizen's Charter for distribution to offices/departments and key stakeholders
