The Department of Agriculture VI (DA VI) through Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Division (RAFID) incoordination with Victorias City Agriculture Office conducted a F.I.E.L.D.S. (Fertilizer, Irrigation, Evaluation & Extension, Loans & Microfinance, Dryers & other Infrastructures and Seeds & Stocks) Clinic to 150 farmers of different agricultural barangays in the City.
This activity was adopted by Department of Agriculture as a new direction for a more aggressive and energized agri-business agenda which aims to increase farmers' productivity and profitability in the countryside.
According to Juvy Silario, RAFID VI head, cliniquing will create awareness among farmers and other agricultural stakeholders on the different areas of agricultural concern.
On the other hand, a veterinary medical mission was also administered by the team to Barangays X and XIV of this city.
Deworming, Vitamin supplementation and vaccination were provided to 551 livestock and poultry animals of 141 farmers in those barangays.
