VCPPO Holds Activities To Achieve Its Vision, Mission


the agency’s Vision and Mission, the personnel of the Victorias City Parole and Probation (VCPPO) joined and conducted many activities during the second quarter of 2012.
The VCPPO attended the 13th National Convention and 11th Training Institute at La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center, Legazpi City, Albay with this year’s theme: “Sustain the Passion, Attain our Vision” last May 22-25.
The topics discussed were climate change, financial management entitled “Ang Perang Hindi Bitin” and fitness and wellness program.
On July 7, SPPO/OIC Mary Ann Lalaine Fernandez, turned over her responsibility as the former Officer-In-Charge of the VCPPO to OIC, SrPPO Nilda Diwatin.
A short tribute to the officers was organized by the Volunteer Probation Aides of Victorias City PPO held at Balulan Beach Resort, Manapla.
The VCPPO also responded to the invitation of Cong. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez in the 3rd District synchronized Tree Planting/Growing activity, with the theme “Alay ng Kapatiran sa Inang Kalikasan” held at Brgy. VI-A, Victorias City last July 14.
Twenty-two probationers, three Volunteer Probation Aides (VPA) and two personnel attended the activity where 300 mangrove trees allocated for the Office were planted in the area marked by VPA Pepito Lanza.
Brgy. Capt. Jose Dignadice, also a VPA, delivered a welcome message which dealt with continuous maintenance of the plant site and strong campaign in nurturing mother earth.
Another activity of the VCPPO was the PPO–VPA Sportsfest participated by 21 VPAs, two personnel and one LGU support staff conducted at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City last July 20.
On July 23, a seminar on health and proper nutrition was conducted for the clientele with resource speakers/representatives form City Health Office, Gina Heria and Francis Roland Almasol at the Livelihood and Training Center.
Meanwhile, in celebration of the 36th Parole and Probation Administration – Department of Justice (PPA-DOJ) Anniversary, the personnel attended a seminar on menopause and andropause, updates on BPP rules and team building activity at Coco Rimas St. Vincent Resort, Station II, Boracay, Malay, Aklan last July 24 – 27.
The highlight of the activity was the “Talakayan sa Barangay”, held at Brgy. XIV last July 30.
VPAs Efren Miravalles, Abdulio Dequit and Edna Durana took part in the program as resource speakers.
A large number of attendees composed of barangay officials and constituents under the leadership of Brgy. Capt. Max Bensing, attended and showed their full support during the culmination.
