It’s another year to be thankful for in the life of Mayor Severo Palanca as he turned 79.
The celebration opened with a thanksgiving mass at the Victorias City Sports and Amusement Center last July 18.
It was a simple yet very meaningful party in which Mayor Palanca’s family, friends, City officials, department heads, employees and invited guests graced.
Among the special people who came and joined the mayor on his birthday celebration were Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. along with District II Board Member Salvador Escalante Jr.
On behalf of the family, his sons, councilors Alexander and Mark Palanca wished the Mayor well on his special day as they never failed to thank him and appreciate his efforts as a father to them and to the City of Victorias.
Vice Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca also extended his birthday message for the mayor and wished him all the best.
The City employees prepared various internationally themed presentations for Mayor Vero which made the celebration very entertaining; from the “Burlesque Remix” dance of the City Health Office to the City employees All Seasons 80’s Mix.
Mayor Palanca expressed his heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the special people who celebrated his birthday with him and lauded the performances of the talented City employees.
Other performances included Jessica Ong with Cardio Hall Boys’ dancing to Madonna’s “Material Girl” ; Jemaimah Taladico’s Whitney Houston song “I Will Always Love You”; Jastyn Dorado with Cardio Hall Boys on Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory”; Jean Ramos, Lara Ann Garcia and Friends dancing to “Call Me Maybe”; City Social Welfare and Development Office’s Boy George “Karma Chameleon”; Mercy Acuyong and the Assessor’s Office “Saturday Night Fever”; Vice Mayor’s Office, SP staff and Secretariat’s “The Name Game” and the Philippine National Police’s Michael Jackson dance.
