Victorias City Hosts Apisno Library Seminar Workshop


The Association of Public Information Specialists of Negros Occidental (APISNO, INC.) hosted the three-day Seminar Workshop at the Victorias City Library last May 24-26.
  The training focused on the topics such as Book Indexing, Cataloging and KOHA System Encoding.
During the first day of the workshop, the Library Service orientation was given by San Carlos City Librarian Fe Enilog and Reference Service by Provincial Librarian Joyce Deloso.
The Cataloguing was discussed by Cadiz City Librarian Regie Cabello and Customer Service Refresher Course by OJ Legarda on the same day.
Greta Memoria and Sagay City Library OIC Ms. Leslie Oreta conducted the Indexing and KOHA Encoding Lecture, respectively, on May 25.
The last day was marked by the Individual Training and Encoding on Laptop or Computer, discussed by Oreta and Cabello.
APISNO, INC. President and Victorias City Librarian Mary Ann Lazo spearheaded the activity for the enhancement of the libraries’ viability as knowledge centers in the province.
