Brgy. III was hailed as the Best Barangay in Financial Reporting during the Association of Local Government Accountants Negros Occidental (ALGANO) Awards held at Business Inn, Bacolod City last Dec. 11.
The Brgy., headed by Punong Barangay Alexander Palanca, bested 25 other barangays of the City.
The award promotes transparency and excellence in public service in the barangay level and is given to the barangay that is consistent in submitting organized financial reports every 5th day of the month.
Brgy. Capt. Palanca, Brgy. Treasurer Candida Baldivia and Brgy. Record Keeper Liza Aquino received the award from City Accountant Jean Ramos, Committee on Awards Chairman Jeffrey Rumbines, and ALGANO President Celedonio Ofalla.
This is one of the many awards received by Brgy. III including two national SANDUGO recognitions in the past years.
