“Need-Give-Get Program” Stakeholders Hold Coastal Clean-up, Mangrove Planting



Hundreds of volunteers from the different public elementary and secondary schools in Victorias, Mayor’s Office, Vice Mayor’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Communication and Information, Solid Waste Management Office and City Agriculture’s Office along with city and barangay officials, department heads, Barangay Health Workers, Regional Public Safety Battalion 6 and residents of the barangay planted mangrove seedlings and cleaned the coastal area in Brgy. VI-A last June 12.
The program with a “Pay-It-Forward” concept is an initiative of Playtech and Betty Bantug Benitez Foundation, Inc. (BBBFI) in partnership with the Office of Third District Congressman Alfredo Benitez, City of Victorias and Department of Education, which is also the beneficiary of the program.
BBBFI Executive Director Mary Ann Dino welcomed the participants to the environmental activity.
District I Supervisor Nelda Demegillo gave a message on behalf of the Department of Education.
Tomer Pszenica, S Tech CEO of Playtech & group of companies gave his inspiring message to the group.
Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca expressed his gratitude and said that this is just the beginning of a good partnership between the City and Playtech.
Cong. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez who was in a prior commitment was represented by Vice Mayor Jerry Jover who delivered the message on his behalf.
Playtech, through Cong. Benitez’ efforts, has been extending assistance to schools in the form IT equipment and providing essential IT training to teachers as well.
