The City of
Victorias went through an evaluation for the Seal of the Good Local Governance
(SGLG) and welcomed the Regional Assessment Team (RAT) at the Victorias City
Sports and Amusement Center last June 2.
Victorias City DILG
Head Jo Ylosorio accompanied the RAT during the onsite validation around the
City evaluating the posting of important documents for transparency in conspicuous
places; Disaster Risk Reduction Management office rescue equipment; priority
lanes; lamps; hand rails at the City Hall; and City Social Welfare and Development Violence Against Women and
Children (CSWD VAWC) referral system, among others.
Department and
section heads of the City also presented their documents for review to the team
and discussed with them some salient points during the interview.
Mayor Francis
Frederick Palanca expressed his gratitude to the DILG assessment team for
helping them evaluate the City’s performance in the different areas and lauded
the departments of the City for doing their best in implementing various
projects and programs for development.
The SGLG RAT
Cluster Head was Grace Azaraga along with Lloyd Celis and Annabelle Ganzon and
they evaluated the areas of business friendliness and competitiveness, peace
and order and social protection and disaster preparedness and environment,
respectively.
The RAT gave
positive feedbacks after reviewing and assessing the different areas of
