Claveras, a Victoriahanon was declared as the WBC Asian Boxing Council Light
Flyweight Division Champion during the World Boxing Council’s United Cup 2
Champions Carnival in Makati Square Arena last June 7.
He fought
against Thailand’s Namphol Sithsaithong in a 12-round boxing match and has
knocked his contender out during the first round.
Claveras,
a 26 year-old resident of Brgy. VI, started his boxing career at the age of 14
competing under “Team Victorias”.
His recent
win entitled him to a cash prize of P15,000 and will defend his title this
August in a fight yet to be determined.
The City
of Victorias thru an SP resolution commends the victory and achievement of
Claveras and shall grant him an additional cash incentive of P15,000.
He has a
record of 8 wins, 8 knock outs, 2 draws and 0 losses.
